Tracy Matlack America!! What happened? I am brokenhearted! My favorite singer, Alex Lambert was voted off American Idol tonight. Alex had great potential to rise to the top of the competition. His voice is unique and sets him apart from the typical sound that we hear from many of this year’s competitors. His innocence and humility makes him so adorable and I thought that he touched the hearts of those watching the show. I have researched many other blogs tonight and the consensus is, “America, you got it wrong!”
Alex Lambert delivered a strong goodbye performance, but the lovable singer was overcome with emotion after his elimination. ”I wish I had not been so nervous on stage,” he said. “There’s a lot of things that America hasn’t seen me do yet…I wish I could have just broken out of my shell.”
Hopefully Alex’s talent will be recognized by anagent out there and he will be picked up. It would be a shame not to tap into what this boy has to offer.

Last night’s eliminations just sickened me! Alex was my favorite by far. How could you NOT root for him? His undiscovered, unpolished talent is the reason that “AI” exists and it’s gonna be really difficult to watch the show without the hopes of him or Lilly Scott taking the crown.
Such a sad night in “Idol” history.
I always enjoy hearing other bloggers’ thoughts and you’re right; I haven’t read one positive reaction about last night.

Currently, there are over 6500 signatures, and counting — and the petition starter Jessica Bongiorno, has reported fielding requests for interviews from newspapers regarding this drive.
This could turn into a “Betty White : SNL” story, except for the time element. Jessica B. wants to deliver results to the powers that be late tonight, early Sunday in order to give Alex time to rehearse…
I completely agree Jennifer. I am hoping that some talent agent realizes his talent and picks him up!

I never really paid much attention to Ellen before American Idol. But, I have to say now that I see her on American Idol, I love her too! She is so funny and always has a twinkly smile!

…And I give her BIG props for having Alex on her show and allowing him to cover the Mario song he wanted to sing in his last performance. (We learned this week that one of the producers told him he should sing ‘Trouble’ instead because it would would get him more votes!)
