Well the guy just wanted to play golf but ended up being a celebrity! Unjustly or otherwise being a celebrity puts you in a special morality realm - you are esteemed for your particular gift but you are expected to show similarly high standards in all areas of your life. It just goes with the job so to speak. My take on this is like other celebrities he is in the limelight and should say when he f+++ks up just so we don't all get confused about what's right and wrong. Can't have young would-be golfers thinking that kind of behviour is OK in marriage -can we? But like the rest of us, he needs forgiveness, and then move on. Good job Tracy!

I say who cares. Great he apologized. He should of just apologized to his wife though, because the whole ordeal is between them.

He didn't hurt my feelings. I don't care what money he makes or doesn't make... Just get back on the golf course and play some golf, and stop being a drama queen.

Soaps are for the daytime channels...

Right you are Ted. Yes, what he did is wrong, but who are we to judge? How can we even pretend to know how he felt when saying his apology? We are so quick to judge and condemn people. I agree, we should encourage him and allow him to try to make things right. I am sure all of these people who are throwing the stones are not free from doing stupid things themselves! Those without sin, cast the first stone!

I am all for Tiger apologizing. Why wouldn't we champion an apology? I am kind of surprised at all those castigating him for apologizing. Kind of shocks me and it shouldn't.
What he did was wrong, and there will continue to be consequences for his actions, but this and other apologies are the first steps. He should do his best to make amends. And we should let him.
And a big shout out to my sis for writing this...go, Tracy!
